Grand weather here in Plymouth, MA. With the exception of 3 days, it has been raining since June 4. Well at least it isn't snowing, right? Sun expected on Thursday, but not for long. A little nor'easter yesterday. Down on the beach at about an hour before high tide yesterday I got a chance to take some pics...water over the sea wall by high tide so didn't stick around for that.
Thanks so much for visiting Joanna...Love, love, love your blog! "thefiftyfactor!"... relate completely...but little bit ahead at the 60 factor, but I'm the "new fifty," right...sure I am, but actually when my mother was 40 she looked 50, when I was 40 I looked 30..which seemed easy at the time, but not so easy to look 50 when you're 60...a lot more work! Did that make sense??
Why get a job with an airline to get flight benefits? Just give birth to a flight attendant! Which is what I did... I first mentioned becoming a flight attendant to my daughter when she was complaining about hating college...she said something to the effect: "Why would I want to become a waitress in the sky?" Well, she ate those words a few years later while living & working in Boston, when she saw an ad for interviews for a major airline taking place at Logan Airport. After two interviews she called to say she had the job...(they only picked 2 out of over 200) I was absolutely thrilled for her, then I found out about her "Parent Benefits." Wow, I felt like I won the lottery! We both truly did, we have had opportunities to travel, many places together, places I would never have been able to go and I plan to see a lot more. So I thank her for all her hard work, sticking it out during her cruel "reserve years," and being away from her family these many years, has not been easy at all. Did we win the lottery? Sure did, but I knew that the day myflyingpinto was born.
Thanks Flying Pinto!
