So who ever heard of flying 1,605 miles  to babysit for a weekend????   Well I do it, have done it....most times I actually enjoy it...Who can say no to this face?? Not me...flying non-rev isn't always the easiest thing to do, but if you know the tricks of the trade it can be fairly easy, for me anyway...very flexible schedule and it helps that my daughter is getting up there in seniority.

Love to go rummaging through "Antique Stores" on rainy days. I picked up a whole box of old photos that belonged to ??who knows who?? for only a couple of bucks. At last I am heading back to Florida by way of TX, of course. On Saturday, February 14 my brother was rushed to the hospital after he passed out and stopped breathing. Fortunately, he came out of the ordeal well, but they did find major blockage in his arteries. So...to Boston he went, for a triple bypass. Now, for anyone it would be an ordeal but for an 81 year old, we were very concerned.

I won't be posting for awhile, I am here in Plymouth, not just for a visit but because my dearest sister has become very ill, an illness she won't recover from. Being the youngest in a family of 9 was, the majority of the time, a great spot for me...I don't think I need to elaborate on all the benefits being the youngest entails. The downside is now becoming very clear as the years go by.

Fortunately for me I was able to see the inauguration before I left for Houston airport!  I will remember this day in history as I remember so well watching President Kennedy's inaugural day (I was very, very young!)  For me it had the same exciting and feeling of camaraderie, peace and hope for the future.  Electing a black president says it all...we are getting there....on our way to peace.
